He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Nelson and Mary Nelson (McCullough); and his siblings, Duwayne, David and Delmar.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Nelson; his children, Todd Nelson, Heidi Hillson (Dan) and Troy Nelson; and his sister Doris Steinhelber (Tim). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
