He is survived by: his siblings, Mike Mentel (Betsy) of Idaho, Marlys Lerum (Derek) of Hayward, Minnesota, Robert Mentel (Alyssa) of Austin, Minnesota and Ruth Carpenter (Brett) of Clear Lake, Minnesota.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
