With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Wilfred Schaefer of Austin, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2025 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Wilfred Schaefer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Schaefer and Isabel Schaefer (Giles); and his brothers, Roger Schaefer and Bruce Schaefer. He is survived by: his wife Connie Schaefer of Austin; his children, Scott Schaefer (Nikki) of Austin and Brenda Post (Tanner) of North Mankato; his grandchildren, Brianna, Rebecca, Madison, Griffin and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Avalee, Amelia, Ariella and Liam; and his siblings, Joe Schaefer (Penny) of Manchester, MN, Nancy King (Brad) of Austin and Lori Jacobs (Ron) of Mankato. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. C. Hormel Nature Center (53670 180 St, Austin, MN 55912).
