He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry L. Stahl and Catherine H. Stahl (Deboer); and his brother Dennis Stahl. He is survived by : his wife Sara Shaw; his children, Jessie Johanneck (Mark), Ian Stahl (Dana), Hannah Ratigan (Mark) and Sophie Bottema (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Anders, Caleb, Eisley, Grayson, Saylor, Brynlee, Maizee, Hadlee and Tucker; and his brothers, Kenneth Stahl and Roger Stahl (Debbie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
