She was predeceased by: her parents, Erling Runquist and Alyce Runquist; her grandparents, Elbert and Anna Purdham; her siblings, Mary Jane Smith and Jim Runquist (Kay); her uncle Rev. Charles Purdham (Alice); her cousin Rev. James Purdham; her nieces, Ann Richardson and Barb Richardson-Bell; and her friend Jean Miller.
She is survived by: her husband Wendell Nelson; her daughter Halla Nelson; her sister-in-law Lisa Larew; her niece Mary Jane Highum; her brother John Runquist (Luine); and her cousins, Lois Purdham-Kidane (Solon), David Purdham (Mary) and Cindy Purdham.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Austin Symphony Orchestra or Summerset Theatre at Riverland Community College.
