He is survived by: his wife Jaqueline Velazquez Santos; his children, Mirna Valle (Anael), Minerva Bentley (Fernando), Sylvia Muñiz (Jaime), Mireya Velazquez, Lizabeth Velazquez (Dude) and Manuel Velazquez Jr.; and his siblings, Patricia Velazquez, Dolores Velazquez, Maribel Leija, Guadalupe Leija and Arturo Leija. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
