He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kinney and Alphia Kinney (Engen); and his brothers, Steven J. Kinney and Gregory Kinney. He is survived by: his daughter Emily-Ione Kinney (Chris Cassun); his former wife Polly Isham Kinney of Jersey City, NJ; his sister-in-law Penny Kinney of Austin, MN; his siblings, Renée Pieper (Mike) of Rochester, MN, Daniel Kinney (Christine) of Johnston, IA and Tony Kinney (Shelly) of Austin, MN; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Gilman (Josh), Becky Pieper (Mike Dyslin), Noah Kinney (Nicole), Tressie Kinney, Luke Kinney, Zach Kinney and Sam Kinney; and his great-niece Olivia Gilman.
