He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garvin and Gertrude Garvin (Daldrup). He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny, Jim Garvin and Mary Kapalla (Chet); his siblings-in-law, Leo Wakehouse, Wesley Hein (Karen) and Fern Pryor (Lyle); his son-in-law Lowell Vine; his daughters, Debbie Garvin, Diane Diekmann (David) and Judi Needham (Dave); his great grandchildren, Travis (Carole-Marie), Madison Diekmann, Mike (Krystle), Macie, Heidi, Annie Diekmann, Amy (Jordan), Paul Thompson, Josh (Laura), Zoey, Wyatt Needham, Rachel (Matt), Lucy and Micah Berka; and his sister Kathy Wakehouse.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fouts Funeral Home- Dunlap (500 Court St, Dunlap, IA 51529). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to be given to the Dunlap Fire and Rescue, the Woodbine Fire and Rescue, or the charity of your choice.
