He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Potach and Agnes Potach (Budin); his children, Nancy (Carl) and Kurt (Brenda); his grandchildren, Heidi (Bo), Heather (John), Kira (Josh), Karyn (Karl) and Kory; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Jack, Eli, Jude, Teya and Myla; his wife Chris; his sister Helen; and his grandson Karl. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
