He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Helen Weis (Dolan); his brother Bill Weis; and his son Joseph Weis. He is survived by: his father Leo Charles; his wife Carol Ann Weis of Austin; his children, Becky Cook (David), Janelle Keenan (Chuck) and Anthony Weis (Bridget); his grandchildren, Clare Cook, Kate Cook and Bennett Cook; and his sister Patty Schmidt (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (405 4th St NW, Austin, MN 55912). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
