We announce the death of Ronald Eugene Haugland (Austin, Minnesota), who passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 96. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Haugland and Margret Haugland; his former wife Lois; and his niece Wendy Whipple. He is survived by: his wife Beverly "Dolly" Matter Martin; his children, Bryce (Valda), Mark (Jeanne), Deborah (Roger Melder) and Dawn (Gene Block); his sister Evangeline Whipple; and his nieces, Gayle Hartigan and Lori Anspach. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Lyle Area Cancer Fund, Salvation Army, or Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
