Sheldon Lukes Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheldon Lukes of Austin, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lukes and Mabel Lukes (Magnuson); his former wife Shirley Nelson; his children, Terri, Jeffrey, Daniel and Raymond; his nephew Randy Lukes; his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Lukes, Duane Nelson and John Lightly; and his grandson-in-law Cody Crowley.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lukes (Helle) of Austin, MN; his children, Cynthia Meyers of Denver, CO, Allen Johnson, Julie Raver of Rochester, MN and Brad Lukes (Toni) of Austin, MN; his grandchildren, Tana Lukes Bowens (Joseph), Lannie Ferbend (Matt), Kaycee Crowley, Jessie Meyers Forlenza (Cody) and Bret Lukes (Mackenzie); his great grandchildren, Remi, Olivia and Wesley; his siblings, Dean Lukes and Charleen Demulling (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Nelson and Grace Lightly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Trondhjem Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
