She was predeceased by: her husband Mike McCarty; her parents, Phyllis Petersen (Pete) and Leonard Miller; and her brother Eddie Miller. She is survived by: her children, Michael Jr. McCarty of Flushing, Mikei Peterson (AJ) of Austin and Shay McCarty (Heather) of Onalaska, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Meghann, Emily (Daniel), Lilei, Michaela (Cody), Emilei (Dom), Hannah (Junior), Brenna, Elijah, Michael, Xander and Natalei; her great grandchildren, Everly, Wyatt, Wesley, Quincy, Jonah, Oakley, Nola, Kepler and Leighton; her siblings, Leanne Rand, Jeanette Slavik, Judy Tabor (Steve), Patti Lang, Lenny Miller (Becky) and Phillip Miller (Joanne); her sister-in-law Lori Miller; and her close friend Rick Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to local sports organizations like Park and Rec, Marcusen Park, Austin Stars, and Austin High School Baseball.
