We bid farewell to Valerie Ann Burns of Austin, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 4, 2026 at the age of 92. Valerie Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Hinks and Lorene Hinks (Wollenburg); her husband Marlyn; her siblings, Marlene Schroeder, Les Hinks, John Hinks, Jerry Hinks, Orris Ohm and Myron Ohm; and her grandson Joseph Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Norrell (Don) of Spring, Texas, Marlyn "Butch" Burns, Jr. (Melissa) of Dent and Darin Burns (Angela) of Owatonna, Minnesota; and her brothers, Bill Hinks (Carolyn) and Don Hinks. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be given to St. Croix Hospice.
