He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Diez and Marilyn Diez (Lutz); his parents-in-law, Vic and Irene Schulz; his siblings, Linda Kasprzyk (David), Larry Diez and Alan Diez; his brother-in-law Michael Schulz; his aunt Laura Rosdahl; and his uncles, Wally Lutz and Bob Lutz (Rosemarie).
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Sarah Johnson (Jamie), Erica Diez (Adrian) and Brad Diez (Maddy); his grandchildren, Emma Diez, Chasidy Johnson, Bonnie Diez, Ellery Johnson, Sawyer Diez and Kase Diez; his siblings-in-law, Jane Amdahl and Tom Schulz (Deb); his nieces and nephews, Kathy Cappetta (Darrel), David Kasprzyk (Maureen), Steven Kasprzyk (Kris), David Diez (Molly), Denise (Rob) of La Chapelle, Sam Schulz, Ben Schulz, Marty Amdahl and Brody Amdahl; and his cousin Janet Rosdahl.
