He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nystel and Virginia Nystel (Mauer); his siblings, John, James, Robert, David Nystel, Dawn DeVriendt and Linda Sprandel; and his nephew Terry Michael Nystel.
He is survived by: his brother Don Nystel (Mary Jo); and his siblings-in-law, Bob DeVriendt, Terry Sprandel and Barb Schreiber. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home - Austin (1801 4th St NW, Austin, MN 55912).
