With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary K. Schmitt (Avon, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hill and Josephine Hill (Studer); her sister Jeanie Oldenburg (Mike); and her brothers-in-law, George Kierzek, Dewey Hanauer and Nick Reinert.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Schmitt of Avon; her children, Daniel Schmitt of Eden Valley and Laurie Schaefer (Steve Pflueger) of Avon; her grandsons, Cory (Abby) and Dustin (Rainy); her great grandchildren, Riley, Harper and Wesley; her sisters, Donna Kierzek of Holdingford, Mona Hanauer of Avon, Renee Holthaus (LeRoy Krueger) of Pierz, Betty Reinert of South Haven and Pat Faust (Bob) of Sartell; and her siblings-in-law, Joe Holthaus and Clayt Schaefer.
