He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Shay and Marie Shay; and his sister Karen Hoffmann (Bob). He is survived by: his sister Albany; his wife Judy of Michael's Catholic Church; his children, Randy Shay (Anna) of Chaska, Miki Hennen (Carl) of Victoria and Kristy Nelson (Darin) of Maple Grove; his grandchildren, Sam (Casey), Emma and Jake Shay; his children, Luke (Morgan), Colee Hennen, Cayli and Kate Nelson; his great grandchild Stephen Shay; and his sister Jean Steinhofer (Greg). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and countless other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict's Catholic Church (212 1st St SW, Avon, MN 56310). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
