He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Abear and Reba Abear (Sisk); his son Lonny; and his siblings, Frank, Claren and Arlene.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Gard of Backus; his son Kip (Melissa) of Pine River; and his granddaughters, Abagale Loge (Jace) of Hackensack, Isabelle Abear of Eau Claire, WI and Savannah Zalka (Jesse) of Pequot Lakes.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Backus Nazarene Church (618 MN-371, Backus, MN 56435). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
