He was predeceased by : his parents, Max Vernon Gilbert and Leona Elizabeth Gilbert (Plantenberg); his brother-in-law Bob Jaeger; and his grandson Joshua Gill. He is survived by : his friends, Jerry Larson, John Wendt and Jim Justin; his wife Sally; his sisters, Donna Jaeger, Eileen Gilbert and Sharon Althaus (Don); his children, Charlie Gilbert (Jody), Susan Gill, Cindy Peppe (Craig), Linda Thomas (Dan) and Danny Gilbert (Sue); his grandchildren, Nick Gilbert (Kari), Lonnie Gilbert (Heidi), Amber Gill, Hank Peppe (Katja), Madolyn Zeleny, Neil Thomas (Angie), Kyle Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Luke Gilbert (Beth) and Sara Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Rose Gilbert, Jayleigh Renae Nanez, Lennox Maximus Gilbert, Layton Wesley Gilbert, Lovey Presley Gilbert, Maci Rose Peppe, Chelsea Renee Zeleny, Brantley Gilbert Zeleny, Layla Luu Thomas, Decker Daniel Thomas, Maverick Max Thomas and Thomas.
