He is survived by: his wife Sheila Vorderbruggen of Clearbrook, MN; his son Ryan Smith of Paris, TN; his grandchildren, Keiden, Kolton and Korbin; his daughter Kayla Stukenholtz (Justin) of Big Lake, MN; his grandchildren, Ryker, Conner, Trevor and Brystal; his son Roman Smith (Chelsea) of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Peyton, Paxton, Paisley and Presleigh; his son Kole Smith (Anna) of Springville, TN; his grandchildren, Kyrie and Brycen; his daughter Casey Spaulding (Austin) of Solway, MN; his mother Helen Widerski of Bemidji, MN; his mother-in-law Beverly Madden of Bemidji, MN; his siblings, Stephen Vorderbruggen (Laurene) of Butternut, WI, Frank Vorderbruggen (Becky) of Perham, MN, Karl Vorderbruggen of Penn Valley, CA, Rosemary Gustafson (Eric) of Nebish, MN, Anthony Vorderbruggen (Deb) of Castle Rock, CO and Matthias Prag of Wenatchee, WA; and his siblings-in-law, Stacy Bannor (Todd) of Laporte, MN and Dustin Hagen of Bagley, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Country Faith Church (46125 149th Ave, Clearbrook, MN 56634).
