He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard J. Swenson and Jane O. Swenson (Hough); his wife Carol Swenson; his brothers, Laverne Swenson, Gorden "Lefty" Swenson and Carroll Swenson; his sister-in-law Bonnie Swenson; and his great grandchild Holly Colby.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Sheryl Bernier (Spencer), Karen Batton (Justin), David Downing, Paul Downing and Ryan Downing; his grandchildren, Tony Christopherson (Aaron), Jay Blilie, Kyle Bernier (Read), Mitchell Bernier, Amber Colby (Aaron), Karissa Snider (Ryan) and Mason Downing; his great grandchildren, Adlie Blilie, Henry Colby and Lonnie Colby; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Swenson, Patty Swenson and Tami Wells-Schenkeir (Lee). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
