He is survived by : his children, Scott Ostby (Tonya) of Barnum, Lonny Ostby (Kristy Johnson) of Barnum and Jennifer Montgomery (Jason) of Cloquet; his grandchildren, Jodi Pierce-Dianoski (Glenn) of Duluth, Adam (Darlene), Hailey, Conner, Kaleb, Brianna, Sierra (Keityn), Brayden, Dakotah, Shyann, Gabrielle, Jake and Gemma; his great grandchildren, Lochlan, Zora and Milo; and his siblings, Terry Ostby (Kim), Norman Ostby (Diamond), Kreg Ostby (Sara), Cheryl Petersen (Jim) and Alice Ostby (Bruce).
