She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Herness and Fern Herness (Winters); her husband David Johnson; her siblings, Jerry Herness, Donna Herness and Janet Kugler; her son-in-law Randy Hohbein; her brothers-in-law, Harley Thompson, Dennis Johnson and Daryl Johnson; and her parents-in-law, Chester and Alpha Johnson.

She is survived by: her son Blaine; her grandsons, Cody and Jacob of Waite Park; her daughter Lisa Hohbein; her grandchildren, Rilee and Makenna of Holdingford, MN; her sister LaVay Thompson of Battle Lake; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Anderson of Savage, Jennifer Erickson (Tyler) of Trinidad, CO, Cindy Johnson, Marlys Johnson of Fergus Falls, Perry Kugler of Battle Lake, Darwin Johnson (Diane) of Fergus Falls, Dean Johnson of Fergus Falls and Duane Johnson (Janna) of Savage. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
