He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Laflin and Bessie Laflin (West); his former wife Merilyn J. Smith; and his siblings, Irene, David and John.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Allee; and his children, Duane Laflin (Mary) and Janet Ellevold (Terry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, over 30 great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services - Baxter (7348 Excelsior Rd, Baxter, MN 56425). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery (15550 MN-115, Little Falls, MN 56345).
