He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Asfeld and Mary Asfeld (Muellner); his granddaughter Ashley Nelson; his siblings, George, Norbert, Phillip and Bernice Larson; and his siblings-in-law, Leroy Larson, Ralph Simpson and Gerri Asfeld.
He is survived by: his children, RoseAnn Donnay (Jeff) of Wilmot, SD, Edward Asfeld (Michelle) of Fleming, CO, David Asfeld (Michele) of Chokio, MN, Carol Hiedeman (Ed) of Beardsley, Christine Pietruszewski (Jon) of Kennedy, MN, Rita Bergh (Larry) of Wallace, SD and Diane Bowman (Ryan) of Hollandale, MN; his siblings, Leo, Ludwig, Clarence, Isabelle Simpson and Avon Vossen; and his siblings-in-law, Lilas Asfeld, Bernice Asfeld, Betty Asfeld, Arlene Asfeld, Lue Cramer and Phil Vossen. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
