He was predeceased by: his parents, Caroll Kampa and Caroline Kampa (Stewart); his brother James "Chip" Kampa; and his sibling's children, Meghan and Kristopher.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Bintner of Becker; his children, Michael Kampa (Amy) of Zimmerman, Matthew Kampa (Jen) of Willmar, Melissa Hamacher (Kyle) of Becker and Marc Kampa of Becker; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Clayton, Jaida, Madalyn, Jackson, Briella and Claire; his siblings, Mary Wright of Arizona, Greg Kampa (Paula) of Clear Lake, Deb Olson (Art) of Crystal, Sharon Kampa of Champlin and Kathy Frost (Scott) of Wayzata; and his sister-in-law Michelle Kampa of Elk River. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes-Becker (14264 Bank St, Becker, MN 55308). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home (14264 Bank St, Becker, MN 55308).
