He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Stier and Viola Stier (Ahrens); his wife Shirley; his grandson-in-law Bryan Tupy; and his sister Leona.
He is survived by: his uncle Julius Stier; his children, Leon (Nancy) of Belle Plaine, John (Mary) of Belle Plaine, Mary Ann Koonst (Jim) of Belle Plaine, Larry (Julie) of Prior Lake, Mary Koch (Tim) of Burnsville and Kathy Huff (Steve) of Leesburg, Virginia; and his brother-in-law Roland Jordahl of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (500 W Church St, Belle Plaine, MN 56011).
