He is survived by: his wife Eileen Effertz of Belle Plaine; his children, Richard Effertz, Donald Effertz (JoBeth) and Jean Murphy (Joe); his grandchildren, Sarah Murphy, Megan Skaar (Gjert), Kate Halvorsen (Andy), Zach Effertz, Marie Effertz, Ellie Murphy, Jack Effertz (Allyson), Lila Effertz and Lauren Murphy; his great grandchildren, Luka Gleeson, Eleanor Skaar, Nolan Skaar and Kieran Gleeson; and his sister Margaret Gregory (Don). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbors.
