Arlene Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Smith of Bemidji, Minnesota, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Burr and Amy Burr (Nelson); and her brothers-in-law, Cliff Thorson and Arley Bruun. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Smith; her children, Kelvin (Paula), Roger, Delores Aldinger (Jeff) and Les Smith (Vicky); her grandchildren, Brian Smith (Molly), Kyle Smith (Rachel), Ashley, Nick Aldinger, Quentin and Marshall Smith; her great grandchildren, Kailee, Jaxon Smith and Addie Smith; and her siblings, Doris Thorson, Lila Bruun, Marie Porter (Mike) and Robert Burr (Audrey). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Bemidji (123 29th St NE, Bemidji, MN 56601). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery (110 Sunnyside Rd SE, Bemidji, MN 56601).
