She was predeceased by: her father Arnold Mattson; and her brother Mark Mattson. She is survived by: her husband Ivan "Tony" Nicholson; her children, Christine Elizabeth (Sean), Lydia Hall (Scott), John Nicholson (Natalie) and Michael Nicholson; her grandchildren, Stella Nicholson, Mya Nicholson, Beckett Simmons, Berkley Simmons and Briggs Simmons; her sisters, Laura Mattson and Paula Miller (Jim); her sister-in-law Rita Sens (John); her niece Heather Ohmann (Chad); and her nephews, Chad Miller (Sabrina), Warren Miller (Kristie) and Troy Mattson.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
