“I was talking to my old friend Jess Hurlbert and we talked about the old days growing up in Blackduck, Funkley, and all around the woods and trails of northern Minnesota. We build forts, explored news places and found mischief and trouble when we could. Along with Jessie, there was Chris, Larry, Davy, and many others that made life in small town blackduck more exciting. Dean was fun and had a one of a kind sense of humor. When I think of that old song "Seasons in the Sun" I think of Dean.”
