He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Pohl and Anna Pohl (Eineichner); his wife Janet Gainey; his son Mike; and his siblings, Charles, Eileen and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his sons, John (Mary Graupman) of Lake Forest, IL and Bob of Bemidji; his daughter-in-law Kristi Hanson Pohl; his grandchildren, Max, Elizabeth of Brooklyn, NY and Charlie of Richfield, MN; and his siblings, Marilyn Friedl (James) of Hartford, WI and James (Mary Jackson) of Alexandria, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
