With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald Jerome Pohl (Bemidji, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donald left this world on March 6, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Pohl and Anna Pohl (Eineichner); his wife Janet Gainey; his son Mike; and his siblings, Charles, Eileen and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his sons, John (Mary Graupman) of Lake Forest, IL and Bob of Bemidji; his daughter-in-law Kristi Hanson Pohl; his grandchildren, Max, Elizabeth of Brooklyn, NY and Charlie of Richfield, MN; and his siblings, Marilyn Friedl (James) of Hartford, WI and James (Mary Jackson) of Alexandria, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Philips Catholic Church (702 Beltrami Ave NW, Bemidji, MN 56601). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
