He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Avenson and Bertha Avenson (Dahl); his granddaughter Morgan Avenson; his brother Allen "Dale" Avenson; and his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Kath, Al Potter, Robert Allen, Roger Booge, Charles Crist, Cordell Kelley, Cheryl Crist, Valerie "Pooh" Quayle and Pyon Sun "Suzie" Booge.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Jean Booge; his children, Curtis Avenson (Wendy Ellis), Melody Boettcher (Mikel), Daniel Avenson (Lisa) and Nathan Avenson (Heather); his stepson Matt Krueger (Karen); his grandchildren, Sidney Azure (Adrian), Owen Avenson, Kylie Malikowski (Jakob), Sarah Boettcher, Matthew Cloutier, Auten Avenson and Oliver Avenson; his great grandchild Ryker Azure; his stepgrandson Mitch Krueger; his stepgreat-grandchildren, McKade, McKinzley and Melainey Krueger; and his sisters, Nancy Kath, Emilie Allen, Karen Brix (Reynold), Sally Shearer (Daniel), Shirley Potter, Mary Nepsund (Larry) and Lynnette Lewis (David). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to First English Lutheran Church of Dorset and the Parkinson's Foundation.
