He was predeceased by: his son Bruno Gutman; and his sister Jillayne Hollifield. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mallory (Deedee); his children, Jeffrey George (Jessica Allen), Saro Kathleen (Joshua Eikenberry) and Tyler Reid (Paola); his granddaughters, Greta, Diana, Paula, Gabriela and Ana; and his sisters, Janice Holmquist (Don) and Jayne Priester (John).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Headwaters Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (1826 Mikrantip Rd SW, Bemidji, MN 56601).
