She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Roy and Ruth Erva Rice (Lamoreaux); her husband Merlyn Jon Stai; her sisters, Joan Pleger and Roberta "Bobbie" Gustafson; and her close friend Diane Giese (Morrissette) of Michigan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Anderson of Fargo and Jennifer Leisenheimer (Karl) of Bemidji; her grandchildren, Andrew Anderson (Fargo), Emily Braaten (Adam), Hayley Leisenheimer and Hannah Leisenheimer; her great grandchild Matilda Braaten; her pet Brandi Alexandra; and her sister Leora "Tiny" Heibel (Plymouth). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip's Catholic Church (620 Beltrami Ave NW, Bemidji, MN 56601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Philip's School Scholarship Fund or to Great River Rescue in honor of Brandi Alexandra.
