She is survived by: her husband Richard Oakes; her children, William Oakes (Laurie), Bemidji, Bryce Oakes, Fosston, Steven Oakes (Kara), Moorhead, Julie Dietrich (Mike) and Thirteen; her grandchildren, Landon Oakes (Chloe), Brian Oakes (Steffi), Leanne Frost (Dan), Evan Dietrich, Daniel Dietrich, Ethan Oakes, Genevieve Oakes, Alex Neumann, Isabelle Oakes, Braedon Oakes, Ellianna Oakes, Alexandra Oakes and Charlotte Oakes; her great grandchild Archer Frost; her siblings' children, Chad Peterson (Sue), Christian Hart (Janel), John Hart (Laure), Rob Hart (Allison), Kyle Switzer (Lyndsey), Tami DeVore (John), Lorelei Anderson (Mike), Nicole Hanley (Pat) and Jennifer Knudson; her siblings, Mary Kopf and Ken Switzer; and her sisters-in-law, Diane Peterson (Dave) and Susan Hart (Don).
