He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benson and Ruby Benson; and his siblings, Milner, Harold, Robert and Donna Mae.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian (Hoops) of Stillwater, MN; his children, Lynn Nylander (Brad) of Baudette, MN and Brad Benson (Suzanne) of Eden Prairie, MN.; and his grandchildren, Kyle Nylander (Jacy), Brett Nylander (Andreana), Alyssa Lorenzen (Tyler) and Andrew Benson (Cali). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
