She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay South and Hannah South (Irvine); her husband Robert Whelan; her son Bradley; and her grandsons, Dustin Whelan and James Robert Graves.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Whelan (Sharon), Dixie Lee Babin (Virgil), Frederick Whelan (Kim), Robert Whelan (Mary), Teri Graves (Buddy Chancellor) and Tama Wesely (Fred). She is also survived by 97 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
