She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Goldthorpe and Marica Goldthorpe (Barnes); her husbands, Johnie Peterson and Ray; her daughter Jean; and her stepson Don.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Peterson, Lance Peterson (Debra) and Gail Hagen (Todd); and her stepsons, Ron LeClaire, Steve LeClaire and Pat LeClaire. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family and will be shared between Goldthorpe City Park in St. Cloud (an effort Helen helped bring to life) and the Bemidji United Methodist Church.
