He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy Scripture and Howard Scripture; and his siblings, Connie Schuster and Thomas Scripture. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey (Angie); his wife Kay; his daughter Jennifer Meyer (Jason); his grandchildren, Bri Heller (Jordan) and Brittney Apel (Ethan); his great grandchildren, Carter, Kenley Heller, Maverick and Laiken Apel; his sisters, Debora Wilson (Jim) and Laurie Scripture; and his brother-in-law Kraig Geise (Anne).

Memorials may be made in his name to Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter or Face it Together.
