He is survived by: his siblings, Bruce Malterud (Janie), Paul Malterud (Rita), Karen Flynn (Gary), Ellen Schneider (Bob), Kay Rusk (Tom), Jane Miller (Tom Conzemius) and Dale Malterud (Sandi); and his close friend Stan Gardinich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
