He is survived by: his wife Audra Kay Ferdig of Blackduck, MN; his sons, Christopher and Matthew Allen (Averie); his mother Carol Nelson (Reith); his stepfather Wayne Nelson of Pepin; his siblings, Mike Allen (Laura Kay) of Northfield, MN, Cathy Freeman of Rush City, MN and Tim Allen (Jill) of Lake City, MN; his half-brother Jason Allen of Stevens Point, WI.; his mother-in-law Mercein Wittwer (Warren); and his sisters-in-law, Becky Ferdig of Blackduck and Jessie Sparby (Matt) of Bemidji. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
