He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy "Nadean" Welch (Galloway) and Fred "JD" Lester Welch; his brothers, Delane Cox and Gerald Cox; his parents-in-law, Donald Hill and Ardis Hill; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Patty Tischman.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Welch (Johnson); his brother Bobby Cox (Kristine); his siblings-in-law, Virgil Johnson (Jackie Erickson), Wanda Baumgartner (John) and Colleen Kjos (Roger); his children, Stacie Leeper (Buck), Travis Sundvall (Megan), Timothy Welch (Tricia) and Stacey Sundvall; his grandchildren, Christopher Welch, Kyra Welch, Kade Leeper, Abigail Welch, Brie Leeper, Parker Sundvall and Addison Sundvall; and his great grandchildren, Nathan Johnson-Welch and Beatrice Johnson-Welch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
