He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Seelye and Emma Seelye (Grace Seelye); his son Ricky Seelye; and his siblings, Irene, Mickey, Walter, Earl, Gene and Jack.
He is survived by: his children, Irving Seelye Jr. (Kathy) and Lu Harper (Don).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carroll Funeral Home (314 Main Ave E, Deer River, MN 56636). A rosary will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (315 SW 21st St, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). The military honors will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery.
