He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Janson and Florence Janson (Lee); his sister Gloria Smith; his son-in-law Chuck Reinhofer; and his parents-in-law, Don and Lorraine Moline.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Janson (David Andert) of Benson; his children, Shawn Reinhofer of Milaca, MN and Timothy Janson (Pam) of Benson; his stepchildren, Peter Espelien of Willmar, MN and Sheila Espelien (Roger Haffner) of Alexandria, MN; his grandchildren, Jarrod Picken, Nancy Nickle (Cody), Brooklyn Janson (Trevor Zeppelin) and Josie Dilley (Justice); his stepgrandchildren, Tony, Brett, Jake and Riley Johnston; and his great grandchildren, Weston and Theodora Nickle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church (505 13th St N, Benson, MN 56215). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
