He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ascheman and Rose Ascheman (Bach) of Holloway; and his siblings, Richard, Harold, Roy, Robert, Rosie McRoberts and Margie Beyer.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret McGeary (Margo) of Danvers; his children, Michael Ascheman (Donna), Marcia Barnum (Greg), Kathryn Holleman (James) and Patrick Ascheman (Donita); his grandchildren, Laura Ascheman, Missy Koehl (Brent), Nick Ascheman (Kayla), Mitch Ascheman (Matie Theuringer), Zach Barnum (Sarah), Shelby Freetly (Taylor), Molly Kline (John), Tony Holleman (Maggie), Grant, Sophie and Karly Ascheman; his great grandchildren, Kinley, Cullen, Aiden, Austin and Maizee; his siblings, Ronald Ascheman (Donna), Agnes Miller (Franklin), Carol Mesenbrink (Virgil), Rita Johnson (Don) and Bernice Wente (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Liz Ascheman (Dick), Connie Ascheman (Roy), Ann Schmidt (Harold) and Jim McRoberts (Rosie). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
