He was predeceased by : his father Douglas A. Young; and his grandmother Jackie Young. He is survived by : his mother Angela Bengtson Young; his close friend Kailee Heggestad; his brothers, Brady Young of Grand Forks and Chase Young of Fargo; his grandparents, Charles, Mary Ann Bengtson of Benson, Donald and LuElla Young of Benson; his aunt Sharon Eiynck (Dave) of Willmar; and his uncle Tom Young (Kristin) of Bird Island. He is also survived by cousins and other relatives and friends.
