He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Ahrens and Lillian Ahrens (Kortan); his grandson Henry Ahrens; his daughter-in-law Kim Ahrens; and his siblings, Helen Henry, Donald Ahrens and Genevieve Hoosline Thieschafer.
He is survived by: his wife Ardith Radueg; his children, Michael Ahrens of Eagle Bend and Melanie Miller (Jon) of Waconia; his granddaughters, Katrina Kolles (B. J.) and Bethany Schultz (David); his great grandchildren, Blake, Brice, Kaylynne Kolles, Noah, Owen and Leah Schultz; his sisters, Bertha Leagjeld and Linda Carlson (Chris); and his sisters-in-law, Kris Ahrens and Kathleen Lofquist (Gary).
