He was predeceased by: his father Earl Larcom; his wife Carol Larcom; and his siblings, Phyllis Halverson (Arnie), June Kjolsing (Jim), Grace Burns (Clarence), Marion Dworshak (Bernard), Etta Westergard (Roy), Jewell Bomstad (Bob), Nellie Jones (Eldon), Earl Larcom (Margie), Bill Larcom (Phyllis), John Larcom (Marilyn) and Charlie Larcom (Marlys).
He is survived by: his mother Etta Larcom (McGuire); his children, David Larcom Jr. (Jeannine), Greg Larcom (Elaine), Mark Larcom, Bryon Larcom (Lisa) and Julie Larcom (Troy); his grandchildren, Brandon, Jenny, Paul, Brianna, Neal, Ben, Hannah and Luke; his great grandchildren, Jayla and Jayden; his close friends, Delores and Ron Eiden; his stepsons, Kurt Stromlund and Kevin Stromlund; and his stepgrandchildren, Tyler, Cassie and Anna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews; mother to his children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Community United Methodist Church (9225 Jason Ave NE, Monticello, MN 55362).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David's name to organizations dear to his heart: Disabled American Veterans, MN Firefighters initiative, MN Law Enforcement, MN Children's Hospital.
